B.S. IT Students: Read This! (But applies to all SO 100 students)

Dear Students:

For those who had difficulty opening the notes link, I apoligize. I forgot the 'html' tag on the 'href' link. Anyway it is now accessible.

1.Reminder: PLease watch "The Last Samurai". Research on the web (or Sociology books) on the different social processes. Get examples of the different processes form the Last Samurai. The format is as follows:

1. Social process- (definition) (example from The Last Samurai)

Samples of social processes are cooperation, competition. conflict, assimilation, amalgamation, acculuration, differentiation etc. Submission on Aug. 23 (Aug 22 for BSIT)

2. For the BS IT class, please divide yourselves into six groups, the group attending the Tuesday Friday PM class is already one group. Therefore 5 groups na lang ang kailangan. You can group yourselves according to the following:

a. [ family] - collective behavior Group 1
b. [education] - culture Group 2
c. [government] - deviancy Group 3
d.[business] - population Group 4
e. [religion] - family planning Group 5
f. [mass media] - social change Group 6(assigned to the group attending in COC)

The above grouing is for the BS IT class only. The BS IT GRoup is assigned to provide an electronic copy of their report, one in Word format and the other in Power Point Presentation. The topics in brackets are the first wave of reports, the one outside the bracket is the creative reporting topics. PLease email me your grouping with the topics ASAP.

Reminder to all: Research on the six characteristics of the bureaucracy. Memorize nyo na ito, kasama sa midterm.
